Linda Simon
Spokesperson for TCA
Linda has been a school teacher, TAFE teacher and now teaches at Charles Sturt University in adult education. For most of her working life she has been an active union member holding positions such as Secretary of the TAFE Teachers Association for over 15 years, and Federal TAFE President with the Australian Education Union for six years.
She has been a member of a number of Boards and committees, representing the views of teachers and educators, including the Board of Vocational Education and Training (BVET) in NSW, the Board of the National Centre for Vocational Education Research, the Central Coast Campuses Board and IBSA's Education Sector Advisory committee.
Linda is currently the national convenor for Women in Adult and Vocational Education (WAVE), a former secretary of the Australasian Vocational Education and Training Research Association (AVETRA), and a founding member of the TAFE Community Alliance.

Linda is also a regular contributor to Pearls and Irritations which is an Australian platform for the exchange of ideas from a progressive, liberal perspective, with an emphasis on peace and justice.'
